The Maslen nos is a cape that is the most eastern point of the Strandzha mountain and it is the third biggest cape at the Bulgarian sea coast. Its steep slopes make the cape inaccessible. In the past the cape was notorious as a place where a lot of ships chrashed in and sank. The cargo of most vessels consisted of olive-oil, that is why the place was called Maslen Nos (The Oil Cape).
